Guillermo Chao (Tuxpan, Veracruz, 1946) fue reportero y director de varios peri�dicos mexicanos, vicepresidente de United Press International(UPI) y presidente de Informaci�n del grupo period�stico OEM. Gan� el III Premio Internacional de Periodismo ALADI-Bank of Boston (1985), el Premio Internacional de Novela Novedades-Diana (1993) y el Premio de Televisi�n Pantalla de Cristal por mejor guion de reportaje (2011), as� como finalista del Premio Letras Nuevas de Novela(2013). Actualmente, es profesor de periodismo en la Universidad Iberoamericana de la Ciudad de M�xico. Entre sus novelas, destaca, De Los Altos, Matar al manco, La mujer de San Pedro y Pel�cano Brown.
