Brand new Irish End Game Book 7 - Amazing as always!
By Dinidoodle
The Irish End Games books are so adventurous and exciting they're hard to put down! Mike and Sarah and their friends and relatives go through a literal hell after the apocalypse in Ireland. They keep trying to find a safe place to stay and never give up, even though they always end up having to move on. Just the daily struggle to survive and to feed everyone is overwhelming at times. They suffer many terrible things, but always persevere. Mike is what I call a truly honorable man, and Sarah is so brave, they are wonderful leaders. Their love for each other and all the other people in their story is amazing to read.
They finally reach Henredon Castle in this the seventh book, and after they gain access, everything seems to settle down. Unfortunately once again they have to contend with treachery and violence, and something horrendous must be dealt with or they will all fall. I will leave the rest to be found out by the reader, no spoilers here!
If you enjoy reading exciting, well written and edited books, and stories about heroic people and brave adventures I promise you will love these books. All the stories seem to be possible to me in an apocalyptic world. Ms. Kiernan-Lewis leads us through her plots in a logical manner but you never know what will happen next. I highly recommend you start at book 1 and read the entire series. The first book in the series, Free Falling, is free on Amazon right now. Start there and plan on a wonderful reading experience. The first 3 books are currently bundled, and books 4 - 6 are also available at a bundle price on Amazon. The next book, volume 8, is due in summer 2016, and there will be one more in the series after that. I am looking forward anxiously to next summer and missing Mike and Sarah and the whole group already.

ANOTHER FINE READ
By RANDY MCBRAYER
In this, the seventh installment of The Irish End Games Series, author Susan Kiernan-Lewis reunited us all with characters that I, for one, have grown to love.
That said, I felt this one WAS a tad predictable - though a fine read nonetheless. The story of American Sarah Donovan, her son John, her Irish husband Mike Donovan and the group of people who've come to depend upon Mike's leadership - and on each other - has quickly become one of my favorite cast of characters.
And while I'm beginning to believe that author Kiernan-Lewis is going to have to make some changes in her basic format to keep it believable, I enjoy it nonetheless.
The format so far has about run its course in my mind. Which means there almost has to be a sea change of sorts afoot to bring some fresh story lines to bear. One tragedy and one group of ruffians after another befalling the stalwart group is, frankly, getting stale. Maybe Mike, Sarah, John & Fiona (Mike's sister) should take a trip to the states (after Sarah discovers her small fortune wasn't impounded by the government after all, of course). It might require the passing of one of Sarah's parents, for instance. And, once stateside I can imagine all sorts of adventures for feisty Fiona, her stubborn brother, and the two ex-pats John & Sarah.
Nonetheless, the characters are "grand." The stories themselves captivating, and the backdrop all too plausible. More than enough reason to be among anyone's favorites.

Castles are Not for Fairy Stories Anymore.
By Terry I. Knight
Once again I am left wanting to have the next book in the series NOW! Book 7 has a relaxing end instead of a cliff hanger. However, I still look forward to the next part of the continuing challenges that this brave group of Irish -- and 2 Americans -- face after a second Electronic Magnetic Pulse (EMP) sets Ireland back into the dark days. Improvements that were made after the 1st EMP are gone -- no more vehicles that work and no more electronics that were brought in after the first EMP that work as they were all rendered useless after the EMP. The group does end up in a castle but find out the it can be overcome. There is no such thing as a home that cannot be penetrated by the greedy, bad people who are left.
