Great Introduction to Day Trading

A friend told me about this book, and he was definitely right. Compared to other day trading books, this one is clear, concise and very easy to understand. Even if you've never done any daytrading (like me), this is a great place to start, and even better if you have tried day trading before and it was an absolutely horrible experience. It takes a different approach than other day trading methods, but it does work if you are willing to put in the work.

Just started reading the book. Will update my review when I finish. However this is just a beware for new purchasers.
In the Author's Note, the Dipetro says 'This book is not a how-to. This book is your introduction. It's meant to reveal why my training program lasts for one full year.'
Looking at his website, the training program costs $6000... !

A Different Approach to Combined Intraday and Swing Trading

I have not taken Trader Josh’s trading course; this review is based solely upon reading the book.
The book is very well written, exceptionally organized, and flows naturally from chapter to chapter. I especially appreciated that the examples and graphics illustrate the points clearly.
This book is a general overview of a complex method of proprietary countertrend support and resistance trading based upon multiple time frames. Entries occur at extremely overbought and oversold conditions, and trades are legged into as the stock become more and more overbought and oversold, or the profit target is hit. There is a comprehensive set of entry and exit rules that minimize discretionary trading errors. Profit targets, entry levels, add on levels, stops, and reentry levels are clearly defined. Money management, proper selection of optimal stocks, and definition, as well as choice, of various support and resistance levels are key and are covered in detail. Trading opportunities are segregated by time of day very effectively, including the role of pre-market trading. Day, swing, and fusion trading are covered in depth. Fusion trading is the combination of day and swing trading to create more opportunities than swing trading alone, as well as more profit than day trading alone.
The material presented is generalized and the interested reader must use the information to further the genesis of their own approach, or consider training with the author.
Insight derived from this work gives a very different perspective than the more familiar indicator based trading. Most commonly employed trading methods are trend or mean reversion based, which have their own problems and both exist in a crowded playing field. Unfortunately, if you do the same things as everyone else, you are doomed to the same results as everyone else.
Countertrend trading poses many challenges and may not be suitable for all. This method requires hard work, discipline, and patience, but for those wanting a different less popular approach, this book may be what you are looking for.
